PRINTER DRIVERS

To download, click on the selected driver. It will decompress with Zipit or Stuffit

The standard (non-colour) PPDs are set up to configure the RIP for when the separations are being created on the front end or if the work is strictly monochrome. The Colour PPDs have the Colour Model set up to get the RIP to create the separations, and so they should be used when you are sending composite colour files to the RIP.

The Kanji PPDs have the extra information about the standard Kanji fonts that are available on the Kanji RipExpress RIPs.

The Quark 4+ PPDs have been produced to be used solely from within Quark XPress 4 or later, the appropriate 'regular' PPD should be used when the printer driver is installed and the Windows printer is created or from within the Macintosh chooser and printer setup. The reason for the separate Quark PPD files is to allow the selection of the correct printer resolution from within Quark XPress as the standard ones only allow the default resolution to be selected.

Training

To help our customers achieve the maximum benefit from IPA products and applications, we offer a range of training courses. The training suite, in Cheltenham contains a standalone, networked system of workstations configured with the latest IPA applications. For training courses, this system is set up with the customer configuration, as far as possible. Thus, training for operators and administrators is relevant and meaningful, as it is tailored to the modules installed at the customer site and uses the customer's own data, whenever this is feasible.

Courses can also take place at the customer site, as long as appropriate facilities are available or alternatively, at a suitable, convenient location. Courses for other products are available with the relevant manufacturing company within the group.

For full details of course content and schedules, please contact the support department.
