The
FasTRAK (Violet) CTP images from computer directly to plate at speeds up to
180 plates per hour. The FasTRAK system improves productivity. It eliminates
time-consuming and labour-intensive steps from the production cycle to get
work on press quicker. No more photomedia output and processing, manual stripping,
no more separate platemaking. The FasTRAK system saves you money by eliminating
unnecessary production steps as well as reducing the spending on consumables
and labour.
The FasTRAK CTP images plates at 8 selectable resolutions; 1016, 1200, 1270,
1524, 1800, 2032, 2400 and 2540 dpi, using a 65mW violet laser diode. It has
a straight through, flatbed design with opto-mechanical alignment and plate
positioning system ensuring repeatability of ± 25 microns.
The FasTRAK images printing plates from sizes as small as 305mm x 381mm up
to 625mm x 965mm. Plate thickness ranges from 0.15mm to 0.4mm.
The FasTRAK can be integrated with the PrintExpress system to provide a complete
pre-press workflow system, or it can be connected directly to either the RIPExpress
or PrintExpress RIPs. It is also available with either a SCSI or LaserBus
interface.
The
FasTRAK CTP can be integrated with the TRAKmate ll autoloader to provide automated
plate handling. TRAKmate ll autoloader monitors the status of the CTP and
loads the next plate as soon as imaging is complete. The TRAKmate ll has a
capacity for 1000 12-mil plates, which can be loaded from either side. The
TRAKmate ll autoloader can accommodate plate stacks with or without slip sheets.
It automatically detects and removes the slip sheets, without exposing the
plates and without any loss in performance. The TRAKmate ll requires a safe
light environment.
In addition to the automated plate loading, the FasTRAK can also be connected
to an online processor and bender to form a total, plate processing system.
